Who Are These Guys?
When
EconoTec was founded, the goal was to help alleviate some of the
pain at the pump, help make America less dependent on foreign oil,
and promote a cleaner environment. We took a look around to see what
was out there that we might do to help. We found all sorts of
things: magnets you put on your gas lines, pills that go in the gas
tank and a myriad of other gadgets, none of which seemed to work. We
considered hydrogen fuel, but this was not a feasible project for
the do-it-yourselfer.
The thought then occurred to us that if we could come up with an ethanol still that wasn’t cost prohibitive, and was easy to build, we could have these little home stills all across America and make a sizable dent in imported oil. We surfed the net looking at what was already available and found nothing that was cost effective. The ethanol stills we saw ranged from $1200 to $7000. It would take you fifty years to recoup your money on your investment before you even started saving money on your fuel.
With this in mind, we have come up with an ingenious way to accrue
the materials needed, and easy to follow, simple designed plans (with the
laymen in mind) to make your own home ethanol still. The cost of
this still is under $200 including the price of the plans. This makes,
manufacturing your own fuel cost effective. Join us in thumbing your
